Barkley led the league in rebounding average during the 1986–87 season, earning his first NBA rebounding title. Barkley was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1985. He was an All-American power forward at Auburn University before being drafted with the 5th pick in the 1984 NBA draught by the Philadelphia 76ers as a junior. He was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History during the NBA’s 50th anniversary.
